Riding Academy New Rider Course

The RIDING ACADEMY® New Rider Course (NRC) is aimed at beginning or re-entry riders. A minimum of five hours online instruction prepares the student for at least eleven hours of practical riding in a controlled, off-street environment. Motorcycles are provided for you to useduring the class and helmets are also available on a free loan basis, if needed. Motorcycles used in the class are 500 cc (or less), street machines.
 
The course concludes with a knowledge test and skill evaluation. Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a course completion card which will assist you in obtaining a motorcycle endorsement on your license (if you have a Missouri Driver’s License). Completion of the class may also qualify you for reduced insurance premiums on your motorcycle policy (check with your insurance provider to see if this is an option with your insurer.)
 
The required online class session must be completed prior to reporting to the range. Class begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning with on-bike exercises and will last until about 5:00 p.m. with a break for lunch. Class will start again on Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. and will be a mixture of classroom instruction and on-bike exercises until completion. The minimum age for enrollment is 15-1/2 years of age.

Payment in full is required to secure your seat in a class. $100 of the total fee is non-refundable, should you choose to withdraw from the class & requests to change your class date must be made a minimum of 14 calendar days prior to the start date of your class. Limited scholarships are also available for those who aren’t able to pay the full tuition.
